FAQ’S

Q.1 What is a Tension Clamp and what is it used for?
A Tension Clamp is a mechanical device used to anchor or fasten conductors in overhead transmission and distribution lines. It ensures the conductor is held firmly under tension without causing damage, making it essential for maintaining the stability of power lines.

Q.2 What types of Tension Clamps does Axis India offer?
Axis India offers a variety of Tension Clamps including bolted and compression types, suitable for both AAC and ACSR conductors. These are made from high-strength materials for reliable performance in high-tension applications.

Q.3 Are Tension Clamps suitable for high-voltage applications?
Yes, Axis India’s Tension Clamps are engineered for high-tension and high-voltage environments. They undergo stringent quality checks to ensure optimal grip, minimal stress on conductors, and long service life even under harsh weather conditions.

Q.4  How do you select the right Tension Clamp for a conductor?
Choosing the right Tension Clamp depends on the conductor size, material (AAC, AAAC, ACSR), and mechanical load requirements. Refer to product datasheets or consult Axis India’s support team for technical assistance in clamp selection.

Q.5 What materials are used in manufacturing Tension Clamps?
Tension Clamps are typically made from aluminum alloy, galvanized steel, or a combination of both. These materials offer high mechanical strength, corrosion resistance, and durability in outdoor and high-load conditions.

Q.6 What is the difference between Tension Clamps and Suspension Clamps?
Tension Clamps are used to anchor and hold conductors under tension, while Suspension Clamps are designed to support conductors without applying tensile stress. Both are used in transmission systems but serve distinct mechanical purposes.
