The Indoor Single-Core Heat Shrink Termination Kits by Axis are designed to meet the demands of medium voltage (MV) power cable installations. These Heat Shrink Termination Kits are specifically tailored for three-core, sheathed/armoured cables and are ideal for applications requiring voltages up to 33 kV. Yellow stress relief mastic is laid around the end of the screen cut. Stress control tube, together with stress relief mastic, is used in Heat Shrink Termination Kits to smooth out the electrical field at the cable end.
These Kits include anti-tracking insulation tubes demonstrating excellent tracking and erosion resistance, protecting Axis terminations even in severe service conditions.
Anti-tracking rain sheds in Heat Shrink Termination Kits lengthen surface creepage distance.
Durable sealing in these kits is achieved by hot-melted adhesive inside the sealing tube and anti-tracking insulation tube. For 3-core cables, the crutch area is sealed and protected with an adhesive-coated breakout installed over the cores and oversheath end.
Axis Termination Kits offer either soldering or solderless earth connections to connect metal screen or armour to ground. For cables with wire screens, copper wires are embedded in sealing mastic to prevent corrosion and moisture ingress.
Heat shrinkable components in Axis Termination Kits endure abrasion, vibration, and mechanical wear, ensuring cable protection during installation and operation.
Heat Shrink Termination Kits feature pre-engineered components that shrink effectively upon heat application, ensuring quick, secure, and efficient installation without additional tools.
Heat Shrink Termination Kits seamlessly work with XLPE insulated cables, supporting various semi-conductive layers (removable and strippable), making them adaptable to multiple cable types.
