Role of Clamps in AB Cable Accessories

Suspension Clamp (Insulated Management System):

Suspension clamp is also known as suspension fitting or clamp suspension. It is an important part of AB Cable Accessories made to suspend the cables or conductors to the pole/ tower. The clamp works with a variety of cables and conductors. The ABC cables are suspended from the suspension clamp at various angles, providing sufficient support and protection.

 

The material used for manufacturing Suspension Clamp:

  • Body:  UV and weather-resistant, high-strength engineering plastic.

  • Lock: UV-resistant, high-strength engineering plastic.

Bracket Feature:

  • M14 or M16 bolts or 20×0.7mm SS straps are used for mounting.
  • The suspension clamp is kept from turning over thanks to an incorporated metal stopper.

 

Application of Suspension Clamp:

  • Suspension clamps keep the conductor safe immediately at the point of installation.

Suspension Clamp (Self Support with 2 or 4 Core System):

Suspension Clamp for Self-Supporting Systems suspends and holds the insulated bundle of the LV-ABC system using a bolt and wingnut assembly without the requirement of any additional tools. The product is compatible with a variety of hook bolts.

  • Insert:  UV and weather-resistant elastomer
  • Bolts:  Galvanized steel

 

Technical Features and Advantages of Suspension Clamps:

  • BSEN 50483: Sustains the load of accommodated cable size.

  • It accepts a variety of wire sizes and has no replaceable parts, making inventory management easy. It can create straight lines or up to 30° deviation angles, allowing for easy turning in tight places.
  • The yoke plate and two suspension clamps may achieve deviation angles of up to 60°, allowing easy turning in congested places. Long life, safety, cheap maintenance, and lower lifetime cost are advantages of this product.

Suspension Clamp (Uninsulated Messenger System):

Uninsulated Neutral Messenger System Suspension Clamp (ACU) for Uninsulated Cables. It suspends and holds the uninsulated neutral messenger. This product is offered in a bolted and adjustable lock type and is customizable.

 

The material used for manufacturing the Suspension Clamp (SCB1):

  • Body: High-strength Aluminum alloy
  • Bolts:  Galvanized steel
  • Insulation cover:  UV and weather-resistant engineering plastic

 

Technical Features and Advantages of Suspension Clamps (SCB1):

  • The product is designed to support a variety of messenger cable sizes and can withstand the load of the cable size (BSEN 50483, REC and customer-specific requirements).

 

The material used for manufacturing Suspension Clamps (SCB1-HT):

  • Body: High strength Aluminum alloy
  • U Bolts and nuts: Galvanized steel

 

Technical Features and Advantages of Suspension Clamps (SCB1-HT):

  • Aids in corrosion protection. The product is designed to support a variety of messenger cable sizes and can withstand the load of the cable size (BSEN 50483 and customer-specific requirements).

 

Service Clamps:

Service Clamps for Insulated Neutral Messenger System (SAM) is used in conjunction with a bracket or other supporting hardware to strain the insulated service conductor of an LV-ABC system without causing damage to the cable’s insulation. It connects service lines to homes or for street lighting. It is one of the widely used AB Cable accessories.

 

 

  • Body and Wedges:  UV resistant, high strength engineering plastic.
  • Bail:  Stainless Steel.

  • Exceeds NFC33-042 and other international standards.
  • Can withstand harsh environments, resulting in an extended life, safety, low maintenance, and lower lifetime costs.
  • Has engineering plastics that provide insulation, strength, and the ability to work on live lines without additional tools.
  • Two clamps with a bracket for large-angle assembly allows easy turnings. Captive Design Clamp with a bracket for straining saves time and money during installation.

 

Bracket Feature:

  • Heat-resistant with M14 or M16 bolts or 20×0.7mm SS Straps for mounting.
  • It is possible to mount up to 6 Service Clamps.

 

 

 

 

Anchoring Clamps

Anchoring two or four core insulated bundled wires with equal cross-sectional areas is done with  Anchoring Clamps for Self-Supporting System (ACS). The clamp is bolted together and prevents damage to the cable insulation.

 

The material used for manufacturing Anchoring Clamps:

  • Clamping Plates:  Galvanized steel
  • Wedges:  UV and weather-resistant, high-strength engineering-plastic
  • Bolts:  Galvanized steel

Tension Clamps (REC Design):

The uninsulated neutral messenger is steadily held in place by  Tension Clamps for Uninsulated Neutral Messenger System. This product is available in a bolted and wedge style to be country, area, and customer-specific.

  • Body: High-strength Aluminum alloy
  • U Bolts & Nuts:  Galvanized steel

 

Technical Features and Advantages of HT Clamps:

  • They aim to take a range of messenger cable sizes and the load of the cable size is accommodated, with no losable parts.
